THE STORY

Why Honor Tutors was started.

Honor Tutors was founded by Ruhaan Gupta, a sophomore at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Passionate about education, service, and helping younger students succeed, Ruhaan created Honor Tutors to benefit military-connected children with talented peer mentors who can provide reliable academic support and encouragement.

His goal is to build a nonprofit tutoring community for children in military and veteran families—one that combines service, education, and meaningful peer mentorship.

Drawing on the academic strength of TJHSST students and alumni, Honor Tutors aims to make high-quality tutoring more accessible while honoring the sacrifices of military families.
